Bishop's Blog / Day 22, 23,24 Catching Up

I guess you could say the weekend kind of slammed my schedule at least as far as keeping up with the blog postings. The weather has been standard for East Texas, "sunny..........I mean cloundy........no sunny.............wait it is cloudy". I guess it's called "mostly changable". I've had some good runs and some good workouts on the Nordic Track when the weather wasn't cooperating.

I'm heading into the home stretch. Thanks for all the support and I hope here and there you've been inspired to keep up or "get with" your own exercise program. I'd have to say that the whole RunFatherRun experience has been an inspiration to me and I hope it has inspired you in some way.

The Catholic liturgical calendar is counting down to the Feast of Christ the King and the end of another liturgical year. The cycle begins again with the First Sunday of Advent. The image attached to this post is the Christmas window from the Cathedral. As of yesterday Christmas is two months away. I guess it will get busy soon!!!!!!!!!

Bishop Joseph E. Strickland was named the fourth bishop of Tyler in September of 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI. Prior to being named bishop, he served a number of roles in the diocese, including vicar general, judicial vicar, and pastor of the Cathedral parish. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1985.
