Just to share another beautiful image of St. Joseph as we continue our journey through this year in his honor.
As we encounter these beautiful paintings depicting the relationship between a father and son let us pray for all fathers and sons in our world. Too often this is a relationship fraught with hurt and anger. May St. Joseph inspire fathers and sons to understand their mutual love and to celebrate the gifts they share with each other.
Joseph Strickland
Bishop Joseph E. Strickland was named the fourth bishop of Tyler in September of 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI. Prior to being named bishop, he served a number of roles in the diocese, including vicar general, judicial vicar, and pastor of the Cathedral parish. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1985.
